The winner of the bidding war for apartment 2A at 76 Crosby Street is Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson, who apparently offered less than another bidder’s $4.1 million (original price tag: $4.35 million), will join Kelly Ripa and Gawker’s Nick Denton in the building. Maybe Jackson wanted a cooler downtown alternative to his Upper East Side co-op. The 15-foot-wide gas fireplace does seem to qualify. [NYP; previously]
