If you can stop buying clothes, then you don’t need to read this article but don’t kid yourself because no one can do this realistically. Below are a few suggestions for the rest of us who really want to buy but just want to save some money.
Discount stores like TJ Maxx and others actually offer very good bargains. If you are willing to wait a bit to get brand name quality at generic brand prices, look no further.
Many stores have a side division that sells oversupplied inventories and unsold merchandise. Sakes 5th Avenue, Nordstrom all have its own division and prices are really cheap there.
Outlet malls are like a dream come true for bargain shoppers. There are tons of stores, many of which offer discount items. Be careful though because some stores sell items at full price, so always double check.
When those semi annual sales or Christmas sales come on, remember to run to the stores because the best inventory will always go out first. If you want to save some money, being lazy won’t help.
Different countries have different pricing standards. I know it sounds outrageous but some of my friends actually fly all over the world to buy clothes. They claim that they make their money back because the price difference is so great and they have fun doing it at the same time.
Some people like to buy one piece that is expensive rather than buy several cheaper alternatives. They say that it saves them money because they are able to wear it for longer periods of time and end up saving money that way.
Warmer climates actually help you save money. First, you aren’t wearing so many layers so that’s instant savings. Then, summer type clothes are usually cheaper. Third, you are at the beach all the time so it’s always the same clothes.
Shopping on the internet used to suck because you can only see a picture but many retailers are giving you very good return policies nowadays. With the new rules, you can just order, try them on and if you like it, keep it.
